Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced thin

- 4 pita breads
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced cucumber
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce (see recipe below)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine garlic powder, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Add chicken and toss to coat. Set aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Meanwhile, warm pita bread in the oven or microwave according to package instructions.
- To assemble gyros, divide chicken evenly among the four pita breads. Top with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce.
- Fold pita breads in half and serve immediately.
Tzatziki Sauce Recipe
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup diced cucumber
- 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh dill
- 1 tsp. salt
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until well mixed. Refrigerate until ready to use.
