Greek Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce
Nothing says Mediterranean cuisine quite like juicy chicken souvlaki seasoned with garlic, thyme, and oregano, served with a cool cucumber and yogurt tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb of chicken breast, cubed
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 1 tsp of thyme
- 1 tsp of oregano
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
- 8 skewers
- 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup of diced cucumber
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped fresh dill
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 tsp of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix together chicken, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper until chicken is coated. Skewer chicken onto skewers.
- Grill skewers for 10-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, turning occasionally.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper to make tzatziki sauce.
- Serve chicken skewers with tzatziki sauce and enjoy!
