Baklava

  • 1 pound of phyllo dough

  • 4 cups of chopped walnuts or pecans

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 lemon, juiced

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together chopped nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves.
  4. Layer half of the phyllo dough in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
