We spend a day exploring the town of Parikia in Paros, as well as the island of Antiparos, Greece to find out the best things to do! The islands can be found in southern Greece and are part of the Cyclades islands.

We started our day exploring the town of Parikia, walking around it’s beautiful white washed streets to see the class cyclades buildings. We walked around the Frankish Castle and also visited the old church called Panagia Ekatontapiliani.

Paros is known for being relatively chic so we walked around to window shop at the boutiques.

We then make our way to the waterfront area to check out the local beaches and walk along the promenade.

Here we pick up a bus that takes us to another town to take a ferry to the small neighbouring island of Antiparos (FYI- Tom Hanks has a house here- watch the video to see if we meet him!).

In Antiparos we take the drone up to get great views over the town, hit up the lagoon like beach next to the main town, and explore the beautiful streets. Antiparos is known for being even more chic than Paros and you can notice it in it’s beautiful boutiques and restaurants.

Places featured:

Paros in Greece is among the most popular islands of Cyclades. Located in the heart of the Aegean Sea, Paros island is ideal for young people, romantic couples and families, too. The Parian traditional villages, particularly Naoussa, Parikia and Lefkes, are perfect samples of Cycladic architecture, with whitewashed sugar houses, paved streets and blue-domed churches. The beaches are famous for the exotic water and the golden sand. The beaches on the south eastern side, such as Golden Beach and New Golden Beach, are particularly popular for windsurfing.

Parikia: This is the beautiful capital of Paros, Parikia is a beautiful village with whitewashed cubic houses, impressive neoclassical mansions narrow cobbled paths, the old churches, the small shops and the houses in blue and white. Parikia is today one of the most popular and busiest spot of the island, as its cafeterias and restaurants along the waterfront attract many visitors. Parikia is also famous for its vivid nightlife, which makes it along with Naoussa village, the two busiest tourist resorts of Paros.

Frankish Castle:

Perched atop the highest point of Pairikia is the Frankish castle, built in the 13th century. It was constructed in 1260 by Marcus Sanudus, who had conquered, along with Crusaders of Venetian origin, the Cyclades as well as other parts of Greece, and established the Duchy of the Aegean Sea, based in Naxos. Nowadays, only one of the castle walls remains. The material used for its construction was taken from ancient sites that existed nearby, such as the temple of goddess Athena, the protector of the ancient town of Paros.

Panagia Ekatontapiliani:

Panagia Katapoliani is a historic Byzantine church complex in Parikia town, on the island of Paros in Greece. The church complex contains a main chapel surrounded by two more chapels and a baptistery with a cruciform font.

Antiparos is a small Greek island in the Cyclades group, seperated from Paros by a narrow and shallow strait. It has an area of 45 square kilometers with a 57 kilometer coastline. The capital Antiparos is on the north eastern coast, while the other villages Kambos and Agios Georgios are in the mid-west and on the south western coast, respectively. The islands houses just over 1,000 inhabitants. Antiparos is well recognised for its relaxed, authentic atmosphere. It has many beaches on all sides and offer a nice alternative to the more crowded and hectic islands around it.

  1. Paros is gorgeous. Athough, Greece is everywhere gorgeous. Last may I went to Peloponnese and Athens, I absolutely loved it. And in August I went to Halkidiki on the mainland and from there to the island Thassos which many people don't really know, and it was gorgeous as well and again unique. There are really too many dropdead gorgeous places in Greece. Also the last Island I visited before this years thassos was a small island called Symi. Also really stunning and different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ID2Ufat57_0

  2. kind of astounding that someone felt entitled to spray paint a graffiti tag on an ancient temple …idiots…i love the plants throughout the town beautiful thanks for sharing

  3. Oh snap jealous like crazy! 🌅🌄🌊
Nice video guys looking forward to your #Santorini video it's been on my bucketlist many years. From #Bangkok it is cheaper to fly biz class to #London than it is to #Greece strangely enough.
As a frequent traveller I go where the deals take/give me business class wise. Being an #Atheist having a champagne🍷🍳breakfast from a hotel spa/pool on top of Santorini with bay views & cruise ships below will be the closest thing for me to any religious experience 😙
    Happy travelling & stay safe

  4. Oh man, this is a true discovery. Greece is beautiful, but Paros is a true pearl. It so fun to see you both smile and send all your energy through the video. Based on this video, I would book a trip straight to this place. This golden hour… whow! Groeten Tino
