I realize these things are quite subjective, but I’ve always considered this baked tuna and noodle dish to be the king of the comfort food casseroles. Except for maybe mac and cheese, which is sort of in a category by itself. This is the simplest version I know, and probably my favorite.

  2. I made this and it was so good. I used organic mild cheddar and might use medium next time. I used buttered Panko bread crumbs with fresh parmesan. May add a little garlic and celery next time but just awesome.

  7. Thanks Chef J for the inspiration. Changed up the basic recipe by adding crimini mushrooms and diced carrots in when sweating the onions. Skipped the cheddar but added in some pepper jack. Also added diced green chilies. Yes we did ENJOY.
