When I was wandering the aisles of Walmart, I spotted this spice mix: Cavender’s Greek Seasoning. I wasn’t sure what that was all about so I decided to check it out. Greek seasoning generally includes oregano, basil, thyme, marjoram, garlic, onion, parsley, and dill and that looked like a good combo. When I brought it home and gave it the sniff test, it smelled great.

While cooking with this, I found that the Cavender’s Greek seasoning was not particularly strong, so I needed to add more seasoning after my veggies were done, but that’s definitely a matter of personal taste.

When I was doing some research on Cavender’s, I was delighted to find out that Cavender’s is located in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas,

Although I tested the Greek seasoning with root veggies, I can see this being equally great in eggs, meat, salad dressing, soup, and a million other uses. Definitely a must-have addition to my herb and spice inventory!
