This is the BEST recipe for pitta breads. Easy to make and never fails – you have to try them – you are going to love them!

The ingredients you need are:
7g dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
160ml milk (at room temperature)
80ml water (at room temperature)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon of olive oil
320g strong white flour (plus 20g to 30g extra in case you need it)

Mixture for brushing the pitta breads – juice of 1 lemon, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of Greek dried oregano.

  1. Hi Sofia, so lovely to see your lovely recipes on here. Hubby and I often try and recreate a little bit of Greece at home but it’s never quite right. We make kleftiko and stifado lots but would love to see the way you do it as the internet varies so much. Anyway thank you for the lovely videos
