Alevropita – the simplest of Greek pies – a thin – batter based pie topped with feta cheese. This delicious pie originates from the beautiful part of Epirus in north west Greece. Try it – its delicious!

Ingredients:
– 260 g plain all purpose flour
– 500 ml milk – 50 ml water
– 275 g Greek feta
– 1 egg

You will additionally need some butter, Greek olive oil, salt and pepper.

  1. Very interesting. We have not heard of this pie, but it looks delicious. What does one serve with this? Or. how is it usually served? We think it might be lovely with a poached egg on top and a salad of greens on the side.
