DIY YOGURT RECIPE FROM SCRATCH is very easy to achieve, with very simple ingredients that can be found in most fridge. DIY Homemade yogurt is quick to make, with just milk, a few spoonfuls of your favorite plain yogurt as a starter culture, and you allow to ferment for a minimum of 8 hours. It is advisable to make yogurt from scratch in a heavy pot (dutch/cast iron pot) with a lid. A heavy pot is ideal to keep the milk cozy and at a fairly steady temperature (ideally around 110°F) while the bacteria go to work turning the milk into yogurt. It also helps to put the pot somewhere insulated and warm during the ferment period, like an oven with the light turned on.
