In this episode of Style Revival, I’m going to pull inspiration from ancient Greek era style to create a modern day head to toe look. Hair, makeup and outfit. Enjoy!

My name is Lucy, I’m a 24-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I’m here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.

On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!

I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.

If you enjoy history, you’ve come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.

Enjoy browsing!

Love,
Lucy

  1. Anything diaphanous and loose fitting around the torso would look great! For hair a half up half down with a waterfall of curls, and decorations! For the makeup, the no-makeup look with just a tint on the cheeks and lips.

  2. Actually, there is no archeological evidence that women used to draw on a unibrow in the Classical era. On the contrary, contraptions for hair removal (such as primitive tweezers) were ubiquitous. I thought I'd let you know as an archeology student since I've been watching you for some time now and I'd hate to see your wonderful series be unbased, you misinformed and the era misrepresented. Hope you don't take this the wrong way!

  3. I looooove the way you explain and present things! So well-structured, concise and to the point. I love the look too, for me ancient greek style is an ode to natural beauty. I even find that the infamous unibrow has its own beauty 🙂

  4. I think I would enjoy these videos even more if you recorded the intro to them before getting all dolled up. It would make the end have more effect (for me at least). Like a reveal at then end. I think that would be fun.
